Requesting new departmental setup
Departments wanting service on the Premium Server should contact itc-microsystems@virginia.edu
to request departmental setup. A representative from ITC Microsystems
will meet with the departmental representative to design file structure,
determine login scripts, and discuss departmental needs and expectations.
Requesting additional
client accounts
Send e-mail to accounts@virginia.edu.
Be sure to include:
- the person's name,
- university computing ID,
- department or organization, and
- any groups the account should be added to.
The request should be made by the departmental Premium Server contact
or other authorized person to indicate departmental approval.
Resetting of the account
password
The client may send e-mail to accounts@virginia.edu.
If the circumstances are more urgent the client can call the Help Desk
at 924-3731.
File restoration from
back up
Departments may request restoration of files from tape back up by sending
e-mail to
itc-microsystems@virginia.edu.
Each department will be allotted 25 restorations per year. Additional
restorations will be preformed at the standard hourly rate for ITC Microsystems.
Hours of support
ITC Microsystems will provide support for back up and restoration services
from 8 AM until 5 PM, Monday through Friday, unless special arrangements
are made for additional hours. After hours coverage on a regular basis
is available at an additional cost.
